So, does anyone know if
the new Sensi Soccer is any good? The only magazine review I'd trust would be from
Amiga Power, but (a) they obviously wouldn't be reviewing PS2/X-Brick games, and (2) they stopped publishing about ten years ago. So is
Sensi 2006 anywhere near as good as the originals?
I caught a review on C4 Teletext, who are usually accurate and unbiased. There's also this GameSpot review here.

Apparently it plays very much like the originals albeit in 3D with bobble heads. It's lacking the depth of Sensible World but it's a good kickabout game. I think I'll stick to Pro Evolution until they make a proper next gen version of SWOS, i.e. never.
Good to know, thanks Tony, although the inability to play as the fearsome Indian side Border Security or Ghana's Hearts of Oak might be a deal breaker...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they used to make some of the team names up. I remember guiding Huracan (of Uruguay?) to glory, and also had a soft spot for Legolas' favourite team the Orlando Pirates.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine is bit of a footie expert and he looked up some of these teams and they're all real, it seems. Apparently Hearts of Oak are up for the African equivalent of the Champions' League.
