These pies have a lovely soft, sweet pastry, and a fruity, tasty filling, with a surprising richness for a "basic" (£1.25 per box) pie. The pastry is maybe a little dry, but otherwise these are really good mince pies. Well done Aldi, I mean Holly Lane. 4 out of 5. #MincePieADay #MincePieFest2024

If the pies are that good, maybe we need to figure out where Holly Lane is.
ReplyDeleteA friend on Facebook tells me that it's the address of the Aldi UK headquarters. Which is a little deflating, somehow.
DeleteMaybe there's an enchanting gingerbread cottage hidden somewhere in the depths of the soulless corporate building, and that's where the magic happens. A potential quest!
