The thick pen makes it look like some kind of Samarai Jack alien foe. I like.
I was thinking it reminded me a little of Bruce Timm's work, JLU, but yeah, Death's Head wouldn't be out of place taking a job from Aku.
Good spot! It was indeed an attempt at a Bruce Timm style; you can see that most in the shape of the arms.
