"Perfect"? Quite a bold gambit there, Aldi. I admire your confidence.
Alas! Woe! The pastry is far too soft, with no bite to it at all, and is dry and chalky. The filling is not much better, bland and with a slightly unpleasant crunchy texture. Chewy, I like, crunchy, not so much.
These are not actively bad, but they are not much good either. Last year's Aldi "basic" pies were excellent, so I'm not sure what went wrong. 2 out of 5. (Palm Oil)
