The Passion of the Kiefer

Jesus only has 72 hours to save the world!

Now I'm not ridiculing anyone's beliefs here, but this has to be the first time I've ever seen a church trying to pass of the crucifiction/resurrection story as a popular television action thriller. I eagerly await Christmas, where no doubt we'll see parallels drawn between the old nativity story and that week's episode of The Shield.

  1. There's a Church in Nottingham that regularly uses quotes from 'popular' media to reach kids, New Order lyrics, bit's for the Matrix and even Tomb Raider have appeared. It's a bit 'teacher trying to be down with the kids for me', funny though.

  2. Does that mean, we'd get to see Judas drop a hand grenade in Jesus' lap at the Last Supper, ala Shield's season finale?

Because that would be off the hook!

(Will I go to hell for saying that?)

  3. I'd go to church way more often if Jesus choked a few guys by jamming towels down their throats while vividly describing exactly how that would kill His victim.

And if He had a really hot daughter that was always getting into wacky trouble.
