Last weekend, my group started playing Patrick Stuart's -- not that one -- weird sandbox adventure Silent Titans. I haven't yet decided if I'll post game summaries, as I don't want to spoil things for anyone that hasn't played it yet. Thinking.
In the mean time, here is Godbold Stag-Star, one of the player characters:
He's a dapper mesmerist, with an opera cloak and a glass sword. He's also a humanoid stag, because that's Silent Titans for you.
Love it. He's like David Bowie turned up to eleven(hundred). Have you ever done any Mutant Year Zero-typish drawings? I think your penmanship and this style would be a perfect fit for that!
ReplyDelete(Humanoid stag, or stagoid human??)
Oh and I was thinking about your Phantasy Star-post the other day. I just started playing "EarthBound" (that old SNES RPG) the other day. At first it felt very ChronoTrigger like (still does to some degree, even if ChronoTrigger is miles better), but what a weird game... I'm basically a child with a bat, being attacked by a police (!) gang (!) - and when I defeat them, they just respond with "Hey kid, you should join the police force!"
Thanks! I tried something a bit new with this one, a bit more scratchy and loose, but it turned out okay.
DeleteI've played MYZ but I didn't get far enough into it to produce any pictures. I may do more for Silent Titans; we'll see.
I don't think I've ever played EarthBound, but I'm well aware of it and how odd it is. Also how influential it is; it led directly to Undertale, for example.
Oh, and in Silent Titans animals that wear masks get transformed into a sort of humanoid version of that animal. They stand up on two legs, have sort-of hands, and can speak, but are still very much animals.
