You have to admire the stark, utilitarian messaging there.
THESE ARE MINCE PIES. FROM THE COOP. THAT IS ALL.
The pastry has a nice, crumbly texture, but lacks a distinctive flavour. Or any flavour, to be honest. The filling is similarly bland, right up to a HUGE rush of citrusy flavour, almost an aftertaste it comes so late, which rescues the whole endeavour.
Not bad, and not great, but perfectly average, and will do if you're in some sort of mince pie related emergency.

There is palm oil on the ingredients list, but I am told -- by the Orangutan Land Trust -- that COOP uses 100% sustainable palm oil..
