Mince Pie Fest 2024: The Bastard Kipling
I won't mince words (ha ha), these are bland, as the kids say, AF.

As you may remember (or may not - no big) I follow your Mince Pie reviews every year. It isn't the holiday season without them.
ReplyDeleteSadly, here in NYC these are the only ones I can reliably find. They are good enough as a small treat but it makes me sad that I know there are better ones out there.
My sympathies! I believe you have Aldi over there (and maybe some Tescos too?) so you may be able to find their versions.
DeleteI'd love to! Any idea who carries them? Looking everywhere. There is one British specialty shop downtown I haven't gone to yet this year but they seem to run out of everything but the different Kiplings quite quickly.
DeleteI don't know exactly where you are, but I think NYC? Looks like there are Aldis in East Harlem and the Bronx. I have no idea if they carry the mince pies; I don't see any on the US website, but I can't find them on the Aldi UK website either, and I know we have them! ;)
